CYNTHIA ENNS
Cynthia is co-owner of Laughing Stock Vineyards, founded in 2003. The winery's early success is in part due to Cynthia's solid background in marketing and finance. Prior to moving to Penticton, Cynthia worked in advertising for a Toronto ad agency and then in marketing and research in the investment industry in Vancouver. She holds a B.A. in Commerce, from the University of Toronto and an M.B.A. from the Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland. Cynthia has also been integrally involved with the Naramata Bench Wineries Association from inception, including organizing successful events in both Vancouver and Penticton that have enabled the Naramata Bench Wineries to dramatically increase their profile in the growing wine tourism arena. The success of this winery association underscores the advantages gained when businesses work together on a common goal. On a more personal level, having grown up in Calgary and spent over a decade in Vancouver, Cynthia brings a broad understanding of the key target markets that will drive the success of Penticton's tourism plan. As well, thanks to her 9 year old son Joshua, Cynthia fully understands the amazingly broad appeal that Penticton offers families year-round.
