JUDY SENTES
Judy has been a member of the business community since moving to Penticton in 1986. For six years, she served on the Board of Directors for the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce and spent four of those years as a member of the executive. As a founding member of Ironman Canada Race Society (I.C.R.S.) and the continuing President, Judy has witnessed the economic impact this major event has had on our community, and the planning and organization necessary for that accomplishment. As representation from minor hockey to senior soccer groups apply to the Fund for assistance, Judy has broadened her understanding of all sports activities within the community. Involved with the disbursement of significant funds to sports organizations and events in our community from the Ironman Canada Community Fund, she has become familiar with the needs and impact of many sports-related activities in Penticton. She is also a Director of the International Children’s Festival, which is quickly becoming another significant tourism draw. Judy has been an inaugural member of the Tourism Advisory Committee and would be pleased to continue in this exciting capacity. She asks for your consideration of support for re-election to the Committee.
