Enjoy the camaraderie of good ‘natured’ friends at the Sixteenth Annual Meadowlark Nature Festival Celebration Banquet!

This year Chef Heinz of Catering Done Right! will prepare a feast that includes an old fashioned slow-cooked Pig Roast, BBQ Chicken, Vegetarian Curry Filo Pockets and wines from many local wineries including Burrowing Owl and Sumac Ridge.

Well-known Canadian Author and Journalist Jennifer Cockrall-King will talk about Urban Agriculture and the New Food Revolution. And Dennis Dumas Walker will be the MC and Auctioneer.

Mutt Strutters meet in Summerland and submit their pledges for themselves and their dog. Sometimes, they can even borrow a dog to walk with. The Mutt Strut is a very popular part of the Action Festival Parade and pledgers reaching more than $25 will receive a Critteraid T-shirt and a bandana for their dog. The dogs love dressing up and hearing the cheers as they walk along the parade route!

The week-long summer camp allows junior-aged players to participate in an innovative program of drills that focuses on groundstroke fundamentals, net play, serve/return, strategy and tactics, and match play.

- Welcomes players between the ages of 9 - 18.

- Five full days (9:00am to 5:00pm) of tennis and fun for all skill levels.

Ride Don't Hide - South Okanagan Similkameen (Penticton)
Join us on Sunday, June 23 for a fun, exciting community bike ride. Cyclists of all levels are invited to join the CMHA South Okanagan Similkameen branch and our fabulous community sponsors as we gear up to ride in Penticton. All proceeds benefit CMHA's mental health programs and services for women and their families.

Come as an individual, bring a friend or your family, get co-workers involved! It will be a fun time for all.

Registration for the 2013 Test of Humanity race is now open. This year's race will be held on September 22nd and we look forward to seeing you there. As always our two main goals are to raise money to help support Canadian Humanitarian's projects in Ethiopia, and of course put on the best mountain bike race we possibly can. We will be going back to Ethiopia this spring, and on our return we look forward to providing you with an update on how all your hard earned pledging efforts have been put to good use.
