Penticton is the proud host to the Annual Subaru Ironman Canada Triathlon, where thousands of athletes and volunteers line the streets every August to participate or support this international event. The 2010 Ironman Canada Triathlon will be on August 29th.
Participants will test their strength and endurance by swimming 2.4 mi (3.8 km), biking 112 mi (180 km) and running 26.2 mi (42.2 km). Ironman Canada is not for the faint at heart.

Every April, brew masters from across the Pacific Northwest load up a
selection of their finest ales and converge in Penticton to tap their
kegs for microbrew enthusiasts. For twenty dollars, plus the cost of

The Peach Festival has been a summer tradition in Penticton for 62 years. Taking place from August 4 to 8, 2010, the Penticton Peach Festival features a whirlwind week of free family entertainment at Okanagan Lake Park, a pancake breakfast, sandcastle competitions, music concerts, one of BC's largest parades, a kiddies parade, food vendors, crafts and much more, including our annual Square Dance Festival. The Meadowlark Festival is an annual opportunity to discover, experience and explore the natural beauty and diversity of the South Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys. During the festival you will have the opportunity to visit areas from Canada's only desert near Osoyoos to sub-apline meadows high above Okanagan Lake. Choose from over 90 events and tours. From May 27 to 29, 2010, the Children's Festival features the world's finest musicians, dancers, actors, acrobats, comedians and storytellers! This international celebration of the arts stimulates global awareness and an appreciation of cultural diversity in Penticton. It is an opportunity to delight in the world of imagination and open the door to creative possibilities for our children. Featuring Main Stage Perfomers: Charlotte Diamond, the Marnie Grey Band, Ache Brasil, Taiwan's National School of Acrobats, Jamie Adkins, Michel Lauziere and the Silly people from Kitchener. A new dance and drama improv tent, Move 'n Groove, has been added and the visual arts, Aboriginal village and the science tent have all expanded. It will be an educational and entertaining festival.

From June 25 to 27, 2010 Penticton will be all shook up with lively performances by tribute artists plus some big name headliners during the annual Elvis Festival. The festival will take place at various venues throughout Penticton, including Okanagan Lake Park and the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre. The three-day hip shaker will feature pancake breakfasts, food & refreshment vendors, and a fabulous Sunday morning gospel show.

This Penticton event takes place from September 10 to 12, 2010. The Pentastic Hot Jazz Festival offers three days of entertainment with top bands playing acoustic swing, big band, Bad Boys of Dixieland, traditional Cajun and Zydeco from Canada and the US.
