7. Visit the S.S. Sicamous.
8. Take a dinner cruise aboard the Casabella Princess paddle wheeler.
9. Visit the Penticton Farmers' Market.

I've been to Penticton a lot of times. And every time I go, I learn a little more about the area and discover more fun, fantastic things to do.

3. Take a kayak wine and dine tour.
4. Participate in a cooking class at Bogner's of Penticton.
5. Take a spider tour at Black Widow Winery.
6. Take part in the Grandfondo Axel Merkx Okanagan bike race.
7. Check out the ReImagine Art Festival.
8. Enjoy a guided sub-alpine meadow tour at Apex Mountain.

10 Reasons to Come

We could have written a Top 10,000 because there are so many good reasons to hang out here in Penticton. But in the interest of time, we narrowed it down to just 10.

1. Sunshine. Over 2,000 hours of it annually, to be exact.
2. More than 50 wineries within a 20 minute drive of Penticton (Hiccup.)
3. Penticton's small town charm. Please do not be alarmed if a stranger says, "Hello."
4. The Penticton Farmers' Market and fruit stands. Eat local. Really local.
5. Penticton has two big, beautiful lakes with a bevy of beaches. (Voted #2 Beaches in Canada by TripAdvisor users for 2011!)
6. The Naramata Bench--home of BC's best wines--in Penticton's backyard.
7. Five days of fun at The Penticton Peach Festival.
8. The Okanagan River Channel. Grab an inner tube and let your cares drift away in Penticton.
9. Massive, majestic vistas from atop the Skaha Bluffs around Penticton.
10. And finally, hot weather attracts hot athletes--from pro-hockey players teaching at the world's most well-known hockey school (right here in Penticton!) to Iron men and women, the eye candy in Penticton is delicious.
